Tuesday Morning to move to former World Market space

Tuesday Morning is moving its east-side store to the former World Market space at Regency Lakes at the northwest corner of 21st and Greenwich.

The store currently is in Brittany Center at 21st and Woodlawn, where it’s been since 2009 when it relocated from 9,000 square feet at Lincoln and Woodlawn to more than 12,000 square feet at Brittany.

The former World Market space where Tuesday Morning is now moving is 18,000 square feet.

The new store will open on Aug. 12. A company representative says it will feature the chain’s latest prototype and have improved lighting, fixtures and flooring.

Tuesday Morning, which is based in Dallas, sells upscale and designer merchandise at deeply discounted prices.

There are also Tuesday Morning stores in west Wichita at 600 S. Tyler and in Andover at 536 N. Andover Road.

World Market moved to Greenwich Place, the 106-acre development at K-96 and Greenwich where the Wichita Sports Forum is, earlier this spring. It moved to be near two other concepts owned by New Jersey-based Bed Bath & Beyond. World Market and Bed Bath & Beyond relocated to Greenwich Place and a new Buy Buy Baby opened there as well.

Tuesday Morning is now hiring for employees at the Regency Lakes location.
