The old Hooters lot on North Rock Road will be home to a restaurant after all

After the Hooter’s closed in April 2018, Wichitans kept wondering if the building at 3151 N. Rock Road would home a new restaurant.

The building was eventually redeveloped into a strip center, with Aspen Dental being the current anchor tenant taking up over 3,500 square feet on the south end of the center.

Now, there is news that a restaurant will in fact be operating on the north end.

Mohamad Touffaha, who recently bought the strip center, said he plans to relocate his IHOP at 3505 N. Rock Road to the space. Brad Saville and Scott Harper of Landmark Commercial Real Estate handled the transaction.

In the meantime, he’ll keep the current IHOP open. However, since his lease is up soon, he thinks that the new space will be exposed to more traffic south of K-96. Touffaha hopes to have the move done no later than 2022.
