10 Aug Dave & Buster’s looks like a go for east Wichita
Attendees at Wednesday’s WBJ ICT Summit event heard a local commercial real estate agent mention that it appears likely a Dave & Buster’s location is coming to Wichita.
While nothing has been announced yet, those in the know seem pretty certain that it’s going to happen.
While Don Piros of Landmark Commercial Real Estate backed off his Wednesday comments a bit in an email to the WBJ on Friday — saying he didn’t believe the deal was completely finished — a Dave & Buster’s spokeswoman did nothing to dispel what has been rumored.
“We are unable to comment at this time as we are in a quiet period,” said April Spearman, vice president of marketing for Dave & Buster’s, in an email to the WBJ on Friday.
Unless something unexpected happens, look for Wichita’s first Dave & Buster’s to be housed in a new building near Greenwich and K-96. The Texas-based arcade restaurant and sports bar chain has existing locations in 39 states, including two in Kansas (Kansas City and Overland Park).
