A new breakfast spot is going up amid the new construction in Wichita’s Delano District

A new coffee shop and breakfast eatery is coming to 143 N.l McLean Blvd. in Wichita.

Mokas Café, which also operates in Hays and Salina, Kansas, has also just broken ground on a free-standing Wichita café and plans to have it open early next year.

It will serve coffee plus breakfast items, wraps, salads, burgers, desserts and more. JRI Hospitality, a Salina-based company that has more than 75 restaurants, will be the owner.

The construction site is near the River Vista Apartments and the Advanced Learning Library, in the heart of the new construction area where apartments and a hotel have recently gone up.
