Scott Harper

Scott Harper joined Landmark Commercial Real Estate, Inc. in 2006.  Prior to joining Landmark, he worked as a general certified commercial real estate appraiser and was involved in the ownership and management of self-storage facilities.  Since joining Landmark, Scott has become one of the company’s top producing agents.  Scott is primarily active in the retail, restaurant, and office sector with specialization in leasing, development, redevelopment, investment sales, syndication, asset management, and consulting.

Scott is active in the Society of Exchange Counselors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers – annually attending multiple meeting across the nation.  Scott also serves on the Kansas CCIM Chapter Board of Directors.

Scott frequently works with out of state brokers, owners, and investors who rely on his local market knowledge in the leasing, management, disposition, or acquisition of real estate throughout south central Kansas.

In recent years, Scott has closed transactions with: Aspen Dental, Five Guys, REI, Orscheln, Bank of America, Steinmart, Johnson Controls, Family Dollar, Dollar General,  Wal-Mart, Ethan Allen, Novacare, Planet Fitness, T-Mobile, Cricket, Verizon, AT&T, Dollar Tree, Capitol Federal, Hibbet Sporting Goods, Natural Grocer’s, DAV, Domino’s, Great Clips, Via Christi, Mattress Firm, One Main Financial, FDA, DEA, US Army, US Postal Service, Sedgwick County, State of Kansas, and GSA.

Scott is the founder of Green Cabin Capital, a commercial real estate investment and development company that creates value for its partners and investors by aligning and leveraging opportunity, expertise, relationships, and capital in the commercial real estate sector.

Scott is also a principle in Market Data Network, LLC, a commercial real estate sales data provider offering comprehensive commercial real estate sales data to appraisers, brokers, consultants, and lending institutions.

Scott graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas in 1998, and with an MBA from Wichita State University in 2004.  In 2012, after completing the extensive required coursework, portfolio requirements and comprehensive examination, Scott earned the CCIM designation, joining less than 7% of all commercial real estate practitioners who hold this designation.

A native of the Wichita area, Scott has also lived in Prague, Czech Republic; Bozeman, Montana; and Panajachel, Guatemala. Prior to working in commercial real estate, Scott worked as a carpenter, cook, photographer, truck driver, security guard, airplane washer, bookstore clerk, and writer.

Scott is married and has three children.  He enjoys the idea of reading, writing, backpacking, traveling, and running in his spare time.
