An employee-owned all sports retailer, SHEELS, is excited to announce its second Kansas location. The new store will open in spring of 2023 in Wichita’s Towne East Square, located in the old Sears store.

SCHEELS CEO Steve M. Scheel said that they have been studying the market for several years and are excited to be a part of the Town East Square development. They also wanted to thank Simon for all the hard work and dedication in bringing this project to life. SCHEELS can’t wait to become a new partner in the Wichita community and begin serving more people in Kansas when they open their doors.

The Wichita location will employ more than 400 people. It will be the company’s 31^st location. The other Kansas SCHEELS store is located in Overland Park.
