Hobby Lobby’s new store opens next to Cabela’s

Hobby Lobby opened its new store at the Regency Lakes shopping center in northeast Wichita this morning.

The store replaces the one at 21st and Woodlawn.

The 55,000-square-foot store is between Cabela’s and World Market at the shopping center on Greenwich Road between 21st Street and K-96.

A building permit filed with the city listed the project’s value at $2.1 million. Key Construction was the general contractor.

Oklahoma City-based Hobby Lobby, a retailer of home decor and craft supplies, also operates in Wichita at 665 N. Ridge Road.
