Great Clips, Papa Murphy’s to open near 21st and Amidon

A couple of new businesses are opening in the 21st and Amidon area.

Great Clips will be the first tenant in Larry Cook’s new 4,200-square-foot retail center that

he’s building at the southeast corner of the intersection (Have You Heard? July 10).

The salon is taking 1,200 square feet.

Scott Harper of Landmark Commercial Real Estate and Nathan Farha of NAI

Martens handled the deal.

Harper says a second tenant will take the remaining 3,000 square feet. Look for that

announcement soon.

Just west of the intersection on West 21st Street, Harper handled a deal for Papa Murphy’s to

open in the former Papa John’s Pizza space.

The franchisee has had a Papa Murphy’s trailer in front of the building for a week or so.

“I don’t think it was an accident he showed up with his trailer,” Harper says. “So he was able to

get some immediate feedback. It seems like everyone was happy and receptive to him coming up

there.”
